The Mancomunitat de la Ribera Alta and the Mancomunitat de la Ribera Baja, are two associations of
local authorities that group a total of 47 municipalities of the region of la Ribera Alta and la
Ribera Baja. They manage different services of interest for the municipalities that integrate it, forming

an entity of regional scope where it’s possible the debate of those questions that affect the people of the
region.

They take charge of: Promote services that look for the effective improvement of the well-being
of the whole population; Promote actions facing the public and private institutions and entities
directed to the improvement of the services; Take part, organize and collaborate in events of
regional scope and in those that have as goal to put our region on the map; Cooperate, take part
and promote the publication of material of study of our region written in Valencian.

It is constituted as the regional entity most adapted to promote initiatives and take part of certain
European programs directed as a priority to the region of la Ribera. To develop its activities, it receives

the contribution of the municipalities that integrate it and the grants of different public organizations.

Both Associations form the Consortium of la Ribera, organism that across his different departments
covers a wide range of services: employment use and entrepreneurship, energetic efficiency

and renewable and touristic promotion.

Riberaturisme is the department in charge of the touristic management, formed by different
institutions, both public and private, which objective is the planning of joint actions for "the tourist

promotion in la Ribera", bearing in mind its Heritage, both cultural and architectural, gastronomic and
natural.
Its activity is focused in 4 work areas: Configuration, promotion and diffusion of the touristic product
reinforced by the culture, the nature and the ethnology; Strategic management of the tourism in 2 lines
(Touristic management, Formation, Quality and Awareness); Specialization of the touristic destination,

adapting the infrastructures and equipment for the touristic visit; Create a brand image, commercialize
and spread the tourism of la Ribera de Xúquer.
