Geographical situation
Municipality placed in the region of la Ribera Alta, in the
Alberic City Hall fluvial plain formed among the rivers Júcar and Verde. The
Plaza de la Constitución, 24 municipal area -26’75 km²- borders in the northern with the
territory of Alzira, Masalavés and Benimodo; in the southern
46260 Alberic - Valencia with Gavarda and Villanueva de Castellón; in the eastern
with Carcaixent and Benimuslem and in the western with
Demonym: alberiquer / alberiquera the territory of Antella.

Web: www.alberic.es The best preserved architectural monument is the Parochial
Church of San Lorenzo Mártir, of baroque style. The
remodeling began the year 1695 on the base of an Arabic
mosque, but the final construction was realized between 1695
and 1701. Anyhow, the building of the belfry finished at the
beginning of the XIXth century. The reconstruction of the
Church was financed, principally, by the neighbors.
The front’s architecture is simple and the inside consists on a
nave with transept. In the High Altar, on the niche, there is
the image of San Lorenzo Mártir. During the Civil War
disappeared the churrigueresque Altarpiece of the High Altar,
ROUTE built the year 1724, made of carved and gilded wood with
LA MONA solomonic columns.
On both sides of the nave and in the transept, there are eight
altars. In the altars of the transept we can see wall paintings of
angels realized by Calvet. The chapel of the Communion, of
rectangular floor, is on baroque style.
